You might be managing robot fleets in 10 years

Hey Reader, AI is going to change the way that we work at MSPs and in every other business as well.

A growing trend that I think a lot of people are sleeping on is robots.

The next direction for AI to go is to become embodied. AI will get plugged into physical robots and begin to do basic tasks. Especially in factory settings and logistic operations. Then, eventually, in the house and around the office.

I can imagine a future where MSPs are even more broadly "technology companies." Part of the workload will actually be maintaining and managing a fleet of robots that work inside your client offices.

There are already some advanced, market-leading products:
- One from a German company that is a small robot that roams around the house picking up things and putting away clothing
- Another commercial robot that folds boxes and clothing for display in retail settings

Sure, this isn't going to happen tomorrow, but it is another reminder that we need to be aware of how the market changes. If you haven't started building your AI practice yet, you should. Because these things are moving quickly, and you don't want to be left behind.

"Value to the client" Your tech being visible at the client shouldn't be how you demonstrate value. If you think this type of thing is...

Hey Reader! I hear it all the time from MSP owners, "My team just doesn't have critical thinking skills." But here's what's actually happening. You've spent 15 or 20 years building expertise that now feels like second nature. You see patterns instantly. You know which shortcuts work and which ones will bite you later. You've internalized lessons from hundreds of client environments. Your team doesn't have that. Not yet. What looks like a lack of critical thinking is actually just a lack of...
